How To Set Up IMAP Email Accounts on Outlook 2013

Use this tutorial to setup your new 101 IMAP account within Microsoft Outlook.


Details you need to know:
Incoming/Outgoing Server Address: mail.101ltd.com
IMAP Port: 143
SMTP Port: 25

Getting Started:

To add a IMAP account to Outlook, you need to click on the 'File' tab at the top left of Outlook and then click 'Account Settings', a dropdown will appear as in the image below, now click 'Account Settings...'

This will display a popup window, from here you can add your new email account using the account settings emailed to you and the server settings at the top of this page.

Adding your account:

In the popup window, there is a button labelled 'New...' with a letter Icon, click this to start adding your new email account as per the image below:

This will open another window that requires you to enter your information, ignore this and click the text that says 'Manual setup or additional server types' and click next as displayed on the image below.

On the following page you must choose 'POP or IMAP' and then click next again.

You must complete the next page by giving your name, email address and password (as specified in the email that was sent to you containing account information) as I have done so below, making sure that Account Type is set to IMAP:

Before you click next and complete the account setup, you need to click the 'More Settings' button which will present you with a window that has 3 tabs, click the tab called 'Outgoing Server' and check 'My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication' as shown below, then click 'OK' to close the window:

After you've completed the page, click next and a test window will appear like the image below and your settings will be tested.

Test Settings

Once both tests are complete, you can close the test window and you'll be presented with a screen that says 'ALL Done'.

You can now close this window and access your new email account from the left side of Microsoft Outlook.
