101 began supplying an email marketing service to the Chamber back in 2004 and has worked alongside them since then to help get the most from their campaigns. The system has evolved through several versions since then but is still their system of choice. The latest system offers a built-in 'easy editor' which the Chamber uses to create their own email templates.
We have been happy to provide advice and support over the years and recently been involved in a focus group and have provided seminar speakers at Chamber events on the subject of email and other online marketing techniques.
The Chamber communicates with many different audiences on a wide range of topics. As part of their communication strategy they want to send targeted emails to individuals within both member and non-member organisations. The types of communication to be sent includes many types of event alerts, regular newsletters, data management and member surveys.
They needed a system with which they could manage their own email campaigns and was very cost effective, easy to use, well supported and provided measurable outcomes.
The 101 Smart Messenger system offered an off the shelf solution as it was able to meet all their requirements. It offers a simple to use system that properly handles the legal requirements relating to opt-in/out (unsubscribe) and automatically manages bounced and undelivered emails. Another important feature is deliverability management which helps ensure emails are not seen as spam.
The system provides valuable activity reports which can be seen at a global campaign level or drilled down to individual contacts, These contain full details of how individuals interacted with campaigns. This includes how many emails are opened, how many are forwarded, which links are clicked, which email client was used (outlook, iPhone etc), times of activity and overall campaign performance statistics.
Another important element is 101's free 'Just Call Us' support which provides overall campaign advice and detailed system support. 101 has taken the time to understand the Chambers needs and regularly reviews results and activity in order to provide advice.
